The OPC525 5-inch kinetic chipper is powered by a KOHLER® Command PRO® CH395 9.5HP 277cc engine and features dual swing chutes, double edge reversible high-speed cutting blades, bearing-mounted ATV tires and rims and built in toolbox with an extended load chute with safety e-stop.
The engine delivers 13.9ft/lb torque for superior cutting performance, and the dual V-belt direct drive and kinetic cyclonic drum pulverize up to 5-inch diameter trees. The tool-free dual swing chutes quickly open for easy drum access. The feed chute features dual integrated handles for easy equipment moving, and finally this machine comes equipped with a quick-drop stand, and a 1 7/8-in ball removable tow bar to move around job sites with ease.

Should have bought this years ago
I had this delivered a week ago. This is a really robust and solid unit. It started first pull. It is well designed and goes through branches really efficiently. While I haven't run a 5 inch trunk through it, I have done 4 inch trunks and it chips them with minimal slowdown. I transport it around my property behind my lawn tractor. Having read another review about towing it, I had no such problem but I did take it easy. It really is built to last. I think it is a 5 star product but I found the documentation to be lacking a bit.
I would recommend a lot more detail. Even Google or YouTube doesn't have great information and you are left trying to figure the best way to assemble certain things. The user manual really needs more. Just one example: It tells you to use 10W30 oil in the engine. The Kohler engine manual tells you that 10W30 oil must be replaced after 5 hours of use, and then every 100 hours. It also tells you that if you use the Kohler 10W50 synthetic oil instead, you don't have to replace it for 300 hours. That should be in the User Guide. Given the weight of this thing, I opted for the synthetic. A decent YouTube video on assembly would be nice too.
Having said that, I muddled through it and it works beautifully. I am really happy with this purchase.

Great chipper, horrible towing.
The price is right for what this thing can accomplish. Mine arrived in a crate and was easy to assemble.
Pros:
-This thing is a chipping beast. it will chew through just about anything that will fit through the feed system.
-Easy to assemble,
-Machine frame itself is made out of heavy gauge plate steel, very robust
Cons:
-The axle is so narrow and the machine is so top heavy that it fell over pulling it across my yard. DO NOT TOW THIS MACHINE.
-The trailer tongue and axel are made from thin, perhaps 20gauge sheet steel.
-Unless you have a drop hitch, the tongue angle for this is extremely sharp for almost all stock ride height trucks.
Would be 5 stars with better axle and tongue. I will be fabricating my own wider axle, and tongue mount.

After completing the assembly, I added fuel and oil. Adjusted the gas, throttle and choke, gave it 1 pull and it started right up. After allowing a few seconds to run, I cranked up the throttle and fed it some small limbs. This thing is an eating machine! I fed it a few heavier 3” limbs. In seconds they were mulch. I have used it for about 1.5 hours and and my brush piles are rapidly disappearing. This is a very good investment! Since we can’t burn at present time, I can still clean up and make the ugly limbs that seems to fall every time the wind blows, to magically disappear. I wish I had done this years ago. Thank you for the quick shipping time. My wife and I love this piece of equipment.
