Disappointing purchase
Have had many challenges with this chipper, the discharge chute didnt fit properly during assembly. Emailed DK2 who said they would send video instructions for how to fix which they never did. Also, the hitch was supped to fit a 2" ball but the hitch was actually a 1-7/8 ball hitch which DK2 never even acknowledged when i contacted them about it.
Welds are very weak on the unit, have had to reweld each piece on the wheel mount assembly as every weld broke. I move the chipper by hand so it not from towing abuse.
Overall very disappointed with the blade and the chipper itself. Would not recommend anyone to purchase, am sorry that i did.

DK2 Chipper Shredder
Not as powerful as I expected but so far, engine performs ok. I can’t put anything bigger than 1 to 2 inches or it clogs, and bogs down. Already tried a 3 inch branch but it got jammed so 1st time use I had to remove chipper chute to remove the wood. Build quality is ok and it was simple to assemble with another person helping hold things up to thread nuts, bolts and washers in place. Kohler engine seems to be performing ok, we will see how it holds up.

Good Purchase
I bought this and have been using it for the past few weekends for mulching sticks and branches from my 3/4 acre undeveloped garden lot. I have decades worth of deadfall and branch piles to clear up, so time will tell how durable this chipper is, but so far I'm impressed with it. The setup was easy, and the engine turned over with minimal effort on the first pull. The handle and wheels are set up well to allow this unit to be manually maneuvered through narrow, treed paths.

Easy to move, works well so far, excellent delivery...good price
I just purchased this chipper..it seems to be well built. What I liked about it is that it has been easy to start so far...1-2 pulls. I Havent used it that much due to rainy weather we been having but have been pleased with it's performance thus far..it did jam up on me once, but I put the blame on me I tried chipping a wisteria vines etc...it was green and not to straight rather than feeding 1 at a time, I fed 3 -4 about 1/2" each....my only other thoughts and wishes are the bolts and nuts that hold the chute are maybe 3/8" although they work, I would of preferred a little more heavy duty..and the screws that hold the cover over the exhaust fell out from vibration..that could be kohler's fault...very small..other tha that time will tell.

Shredder does not really shred.
I bought this primarily for shredding garden material. However the hopper has an opening in the blades that is the size of a deck of cards. Anything bigger (leaves, bent twigs) just wont go in without shoving it into the blades manually. I am taking it back.
