Description
This Dewalt Max XR deep cut band saw features a 5 in cut capacity to cut strut, pipe, angle iron, and various other materials. Cuts up to 4 in SCH 40-pipe and double strut. This band saw has a LED work light with a 20-second delay that illuminates dark work surfaces for accurate cutting, and offers a variable speed trigger and a dial that allow for more versatility and control. This tool is capable of up to 149 cuts of 1 5/8 in strut with a 14 TPI blade. There is an integrated hang hook which allows the user to hang the saw without damaging the front handle or base, and the tool-less blade changing lever loosens blade tension for easy blade changes. Battery and charger sold separately.

Most uses dewalt metal working tool I own
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned this now for 6 months and honestly love this for 1/4 wall tubing and cutting 1/2 flat stock.the variable trigger makes cutting a breezy.

Not good
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have bought 2 of these in the last 3 years and they both have failed me the blades won't stay on and it binds up.
I hope we can resolve these issues

Wish I had one sooner
Company provided us with Milwaukee band saws for jobs. I’m not a Milwaukee guy so I bought a Dewalt. Got funny looks, guys asking if I bought my own. Bigger sites with overhead work practically require the Dewalt on site. Lighter, not bulky and single handed operation. Brought production and moral up on site. Looks like I had it a few years already. Still the same as the day I bought it.

Use every day
I use this bandsaw everyday at a construction site/shop. I works great for handrails and brackets. I really wish it had a switch for the light.

Great saw, a must have!
Saw works amazing, surprisingly light for the size. Powerful motor that doesn't draw a lot of power. 40 cuts of 2x2 1/8th mild steel with a 4amp hour battery and it was still going. Great design that allows the saw to pass by anything you cut on the left side of the blade.

Smooth cuts!

Easy blade changes, great blade availability, blade tracking has been very consistent. The light in bvb the throat was another handy touck, and makes following marks easier in dim light situations. Overall, very happy with the purchase.

20 volt deep cut band saw
I purchased this on Friday and put it to work Monday. I was doing a welding project and needed to cit 2 1/2 inch angle iron. I thought it would take some time to cut 1/8 thick metal. When I started the first cut it took no time at all. It took me much less time than using a chop saw and the cut was remarkable smooth and precise. I shoul hawe purchased it earlier. It would have saved a great deal of time cleaning welds and my projects would have been more precise.

I’ve had it for less than a month. It died on the second day I used it. The brushless motor seems to be stuck. Light turns on and it makes a humming noise
