It works good and is made in USA
I was initially having an issue with it giving me readings in Metric. To convert to feet, just hold down the unit button it will change to footage. Some of the other reviews must not have been using it on the 1st linear setting. I checked mine on larger measurements and shorter and all were accurate within an 1/8". Unless your trying to build a piano wtih it, you should be fine. Anything requiring very accurate measurements (i.e. structural,
or laying out a wall or room or something) should alway be hand measured twice anyways. Not surprised many are confused on here. Just like being on a job site these days.

I bought this a year ago and as i was measuring it all the sudden went blank. I changed batteries and still nothing. How can I get third repaired?

Measurements are inaccurate
The laser measurer came with a laser level, every measurement is off by at least 1/4" .
I am surprised that DeWalt’s quality control isn’t better. There are several other manufacturers in the same price range which will provide accurate measurements.

Hoped for a great laser

Very accurate device
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 65 ft Laser Distance Measure was surprisingly accurate for a handheld device. It was easy to use, has an easy to read display, and was the quality I expect from a DeWalt product.

Great Measurer for small jobs
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This small package does it all in a small convenient package. This laser is great for residential projects and gets you within an 1/8" - 1/2" depending on the distance. Great for fast take offs or approximating sq ft.
