Description
Achieve a quality finish with the DEWALT orbit sander. It has a separate counterweight that minimizes vibrations for stable performance. This 3-amp variable speed orbital sander delivers up to 12,000 orbits per minute. Designed with a short height, it lets users work closer to the workpiece. Attach the one-handed locking dust bag on the electric orbit sander to collect dust.

Disappointed in Dewalt 2 from
very defective design.
do not buy this sander. the machine if fine but the velrco pad will not last. I have now replaced the pad 3 times because the back of the pad is a thin fiberglass. the 4 attachment screws seat on the fiberglass film that has a very close tolerance to the vent holes. this fiberglass film soon breaks and the pad will come off. Buy again. and again. and again.

Replacement pad nightmare
We are a Carpentry shop and have bought 3 of these sanders over the last 1.5 years.
We have not been able to get the correct replacement hook and loop pads.
Every time we order a pad kit. The pad comes with 3 mounting holes.
All of our sanders pads have 4 mounting holes!
The pads wear out quickly and the replacements never come correct.
Even when scanning the barcode on the sander itself, we still get a replacement pad with 3 mounting holes!
We're looking for better options for sanders in our shop.
Wouldn't recommend buying.

Love it so far.
I have had this for about a year now. Seems to work really well. I love the H&L and the adjustable speed. The dust collector works great too.

Do not buy it! Not recommend!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this machine. Used it once for my own project and 6 month later went to use again and the disc came a part.

Great orbital sander for the price
I had received this as a Christmas gift this past year and it definitely worked better than my ryobi one I had in my tool box. The only issue I have is it is a single speed so vs the variable speed it’s not as good but still great for the value. I recently used this one a farmhouse table I made and I was impressed with the quality it provided.

Velcro wears out
Excellent sander however, the complaint I have is the velcro surface on the sander seems to wear out and won't hold all sandpapers. In my case this did take a while but I can see this as a weak point
