Great for home use.
I’m here looking for a parts breakdown because after using this thing like a rented donkey for 16 years, this morning it finally gave up the ghost. All I heard was the compressor slowdown, the motor was still spinning fast, I’m glad to see that it’s belt driven, guess I need a new belt. Sure, the regulator failed some time ago, they don’t like moisture, mounting it so close to the tank is not the best place, I think a replacement was like 10 bucks, I mounted it away from the tank after a drier. Other than that I expect to get another decade out of it. It’s a home compressor, don’t expect to run a blast cabinet or die grinder off it for extended periods, but for regular air tool use, say auto repair, it’s great.

Great compressor
I have always tried to get dewalt tools. I have never had any problems. This compressor is excellent. I have worked all life with compressors and impact tools on heavy equipment. I recommend it. To anyone who works with air tools.

A small crappy tire compressor outperforms this
Lugging this hunk of uselessness around just so the wheels can wobble and misstep all over the place, is like pulling teeth out of a live wolverine. Also why in the sack is the drain valve so chonky and super close to the ground at all times unless you lay it down. I have the right mind to return this and grab a rigid off the shelf next to it. Not a great idea to pick one of these up for yourself.

Rattling Tin Can
I'm surprised it has lasted the 6 months I have owned this. It has to be in the 100-110 decibel range when operating. It was this way straight out of the box. I have it in a room with door but can't imagine it being out where I work.

Not What I Would Have Expected from DeWalt
There are two disappointing issues with this compressor. First, the round grounded prong in the electrical plug pulled out the first time I removed the plug for the electrical outlet. A brand new compressor, and an expensive one at that, the grounded pin pulls out? Well, when you look at it, it's a very cheap, thin-gauge prong. Unlike high quality materials expected in professional equipment, this prong is flimsy at best. I have tight-fitting electrical outlets, but I've never had a grounded pin break. Now I'm faced with either returning the entire unit to the store or cutting the low-quality plug off and replacing it with one that is suitable for such a piece of equipment. It makes me wonder about the quality of other materials are in this product.
Second, it takes an inordinately long time for this compressor to build up pressure; especially for a 15 gallon unit.
In summary, the quality of this product is suspect.

I agree
The drain valve is definitely in the wrong place. I had small hump in a drive way shear mine right off
