Delta®'s Classic valve trim with 1 handle in chrome allows you to switch your trim without the hassle of changing your rough-in as well. Another great benefit is the ability to have your plumber install the rough-in before you've decided on the trim you want. By installing the rough-in first, you can later decide what type of trim will go perfectly in your bath.
- Monitor pressure balance valve keeps water temperature within a safe +/-3degrees F (+/-1.6degrees C), helping to protect you from sudden changes in hot or cold water pressure

Can this be used to replace a single handle tub/shower Delta that was originally installed in 2002, without having to replace the plumbing in the wall?
If you look under your handle... on the trim, (to the right of the screw - trust me, it's super hard to see!) it will say the number and "Series". It's tiny. I took a pic with my cell, and then expanded the pic, so I could read it. Before 2006, it should read "1400 Series". If you call Lowe's, they should be able to tell you if this item will fit. Hope this helps!
