Description
This DELTA cartridge assembly is made to provide single-function pressure-balance temperature control and is built for use with a MultiChoice Universal valve body (not included). Pressure balance valve keeps water temperature within a safe 3° F (1.6° C), helping to protect you from sudden changes in hot or cold-water pressure. Our faucets and their parts are guaranteed for a lifetime, but just in case you would like to make some repairs on your own we have made some parts available for you to order.

Terrible cartridge!
Twice in the span of 5 years, I have a leaky shower and for the same reason.
There are two rubber check valves on the inner end of the cartridge (the white part). In both instances where I had a leaky faucet, either one or both check valves failed.
There is no way to replace them (at least not that I found). So, this little check valve failure requires to replace the entire cartridge. That seems to be the weakest point of the design and this product in general.

Poor product
Installed brand new shower & faucet 6 years ago… already leaking. When I went to install a new (overpriced) cartridge: the handle would not come off due to corrosion, cartridge would not come out without substantial force & broke into a thousand pieces. Severely dissatisfied.

This is a brand new install. Shower is leaking out of handle will not shut off

Worked Perfectly
I bought this as our shower head has been leaking for a while. The cartridge that came out looked slightly different with a disc and a screw on it. This one of course does not have that but it worked just the same. Another review mentioned that the o-rings were too large for them in comparison to their original cartridge - this wasn't an issue for us and we did have a repair kit just in case the O-rings were an issue. Since changing to the new cartridge the leaking has stopped and is a perfect fit for our Delta 13/14 multichoice shower system.

No more Delta for me from
Less than 6 months and leaking...
I thought delta was a name brand? New home started leaking. Pulled out cartridge there was no build up looks practically new. My guess for leak would be the two plungers. I will be using another brand from now on than telling everyone I know.

Both Showers are leaking
I built this house in 2018. Builders use all delta products in my house. Few months after possession showers are start leaking. Plumber Chang both Showers cartridges. Now is with gape of couple weeks both Showers start leaking. Plumber is said need new both Cartridges Rona advise me call to manifecturer for warranty replacement. I call many time no body attending phone.

Horrible
I've had to replace these 5 times in the last 10 years. Just bought another one and what do you know...failed in 4 days. Leaks! The quality of these cartridges is absolutely horrible. Delta should do something about these it is ruining their brand. I won't be buying anything Delta in the future.

In 2017 we renovated our shower.
The shower leaked after 2 weeks. The contractor spend a day to fix but the leak was on and off (and I ignored the issue) until recently it was leaking a 5 gallon pail every hour.
I changed to shower tub faucet and the leak did not stop. Home depot told me to contact Delta to do a warranty claim to get a cartridge. The cartridge arrived in a week. I had it replaced and the leak stopped. Thanks you to the great customer service people who made sure I got the right replacement parts. Keeping finger crossed that this would be the end of my 3+ year of leaking issue that I ignored. Should have contacted Delta a lot sooner.
