Will this fit in a 12inch depth cabinet?
Hello, the measurement for the box part that inserts in the cabinet is 10.25” deep and 12.5” high plus the damper. As long as this part can fit in your cabinet the installation will be fine.

Great suction
Its worth the price. I especially like how the lights are placed in the center. Just hepls to illuminate the workspace evenly. Ofcourse helps to take out the foul air. Glad I got this.

less than 2 years later, motherboard malfunction!!
I purchased a 28" cabinet insert type range hood. 14 months in service and it began malfunctioning. Now one month shy of the 2 year mark and this thing is useless. Cyclone customer service is pathetic. Save yourselves the hassle, spend an extra$300 and get a Kitchen aide that is engineered properly.

I ordered this insert hood a couple of months ago for our kitchen renovation. It was an absolute disaster to install and the instructions are a joke. First of all, in the manual, the specifications state to cut the opening 26 3/4". Then there was an insert with the manual with different specs, this said 26 1/2". Our cabinet guy erred on the side of caution and used the smaller measurement. It was STILL too big, resulting in our having to rebuild the cabinet AND have a second piece of custom stainless steel cut. (opening should be 26" by the way). Screws that came with the insert do not fit any of the pre-drilled holes. Save yourself the headache and the money and avoid this product.

Disappointing experience
The first one delivered came in with bent corner. I returned it and ordered another one. The second one came in short of manual and venting duct.
