The Cub Cadet ULTIMA series ZT1 42-in 22 HP Kohler KT7000 series twin-cylinder zero-turn riding mower was built to raise the bar for durability without sacrificing operator comfort. A high-strength continuous, 2-in x 2-in tubular steel frame provides enhanced strength and durability. Features include an automotive-inspired, ergonomic, fully knob adjustable premium 18-in high back seat with durable advanced polymer seat suspension. Adjustable lap bars with Industry-exclusive over molded soft-touch ergonomic hand grips optimized for comfort, with rubber floor mat and ample leg room. Dual LED headlights will give you a bright visibility to work at any time of the day. The 42-in stamped deck is engineered for greater airflow, to make sure clippings move through the deck cleanly and efficiently for a more even cut. The optimized bagging system makes for cleaner lawn tasks, as it is specifically designed to prevent clumping and blockage. The mower is equipped with an open frame design and hinged/removable floor pan, allowing quick and easy access to the deck and engine for ease of maintenance.

ROUGH RIDE
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We have roughly 3.5 acres of grass and a little over a hundred trees throughout. In the summer with ideal conditions that could mean cutting and trimming weekly. I've had my ZT1 42 a year now. It takes a little practice to get used to the handling but once you've mastered it, nice and easy to manouver and has cut down my riding time. Does a great job around trees and shrubs however be prepared, if your lawn surface is not smooth and level your in for a bumpy ride at higher speeds. One other thing with the engine behind you, I suggest wearing sound cancelling gear as it can get to you after several hours running, that or reduce the throttle speed a tad.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Nice machine. Easy to manoeuvre and a great grass cutting machine. The only complaint I have is with the ancillary mulching kit. It really is defective. I have mine wired down and it's now in the acceptable zone. I'm very happy with my ZT1 and have recommended it to my friends.

I bought it last summer because I wanted a zero turn machine. The only con is is the bagger. Grass comes through like dust!

Great machine
I bought this mower a year ago. It's performance is great. I have one issue. The throttle cable broke at the hand lever. I have contacted different dealers inthe area, and no one has such a cable. I cannot find one anywhere. I have also been told that the warehouse doesn't have any either. Help! My lawn needs a cut!

Very easy to operate
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Our large grass area has many trees and other obstructions and merges into natural forest. The zero turn reduced cutting time by 50%. It also has the ruggedness to cut unlanscaped areas and road ditches. Our 5 year old great grandson (seated with me) mastered the controls in just a few minutes.
