This CRAFTSMAN Premium 9 mm snap-off blade utility knife features a dia wheel locking mechanism for quick adjustments during use and a blade release mechanism to facilitate changing blades. Craftsman utility blade is a disappointment
No instructions on how to make sure I was using the locking mechanism correctly on the packaging nor the website. Just pointing the utility knife down caused the blade to slide out and no amount of pushing, turning or pressure on any part of the mechanism seems to affect either loosening nor tightening of the blade. I see I am not the only one having issues so it's not operator error. I need a reliable, safe utility knife daily, preferably one I can use with a single hand. I hope that your engineers can fix the problem sooner than later. Usually, Craftsman has been a good name for tools. This one should be pulled for safety issues alone.

Disappointment
I purchased this product about a month ago with great expectations. I use utility knives in my leather crafting hobby to cut and trim various thicknesses of vegetable tanned leather. The 9mm blade is perfect for cutting tight corners etc. With other brands of 9mm utility knives I found that the blade was sometimes gripped by the leather and pulled out from the handle. I thought the locking blade on the Craftsman 9mm knife would be the perfect solution. I was wrong. Although the general quality of the knife is good ( for the price) it has one serious flaw. The blade is not locked in place securely and continues to be pulled out. This is very annoying and somewhat of a safety hazard. I certainly expected better performance from a Craftsman product. I would gladly have paid more for a product that actually performed as intended.

Blades are falling out
The groove where the locking screw presses into is too narrow or offset from the centerline of the sets rew causing the blade to slightly retract when tightening. Also the grey piece that grips the blade let's go of the blade and it keeps falling out. Not something I expect from craftsman.

I cannot use this, no matter how tight the blade is in there, it just falls out.
