Good for camping
I bought this specifically for cutting firewood at the remote campsites instead of hauling in fire wood. This saw won't see more than 2-4 hours of use yearly so the cost vs. overall use fits my budget. I'm not hard on my stuff so I expect to own this saw for a while. I recommend this saw if you use it like I do. This saw is light enough and fits into my kayak to take to the campsite.
I put about 15 minutes of cutting firewood after taking it out of the box and I'm happy with the performance. I gave it a short break in after first startup by running it for a couple minutes at a time several times allowing the engine to cool a bit between starts. I didn't run it wide open during the first 15 minutes and the nice sharp chain was easily able to cut through some 4"- 6" hardwood. The chain didn't stretch much during the initial use and I didn't need to tension it yet. The chain oiler is set to wide open from the factory and it was spewing a lot of oil off the bar. I backed the oil screw to just above minimum and it keeps the chain wet but not dripping out the bottom of the saw. I was also looking at a Stihl 170 and I think this Craftsman was a better choice because it has a bigger engine and a better price. This saw looks almost identical to the Toro brand, Poulan and others.

Hot Rod chainsaw!
Bought this today and am impressed with the quality. Instructions were very good. Started on 3rd pull. Quieter than I was expecting but revs up nicely to cut through the 2 trees I cut today. Very happy so far with this purchase.

No heavy-duty carry case or bar and chain oil.
Ordered online and picked up on Oct 10, used is couple of times, followed the chainsaw's start up procedures and it is easy to start and operate, the product itself should have been 4 stars to me, however the online product description is misleading as the package comes neither any heavy-duty carry case nor bar and chain oil!!! Filed a complaint and waiting for RONA's response, will post additional review later if there is a solution from RONA.
