Threadless Arbor?
I bought this set at Lowe's a couple of days ago. I opened up the package to use it today and the arbor isn't threaded so its useless.

Works fine, once you figure it out
Like a lot of others, I was baffled by the lack of instructions; with the help of YouTube, I figured it out.
Wear shop gloves!
Start with the three basic parts: the auger (that goes into your drill); the drill bit (that guides the saw as you cut your hole); and the saw itself. See the first picture. The smaller saws will screw right onto the auger. See the second picture. The larger saws don't fit directly into the auger; they need an adaptor and a washer. See the third picture.
The drill bit is adjustable. There's a set screw on the auger. Adjust the bit so it sticks out of the saw as close to 1/4" as possible.
To take it apart, loosen the set screw. Use a screwdriver through the slots to work the plug out of the saw. The drill will come with it. Grab the end of the auger with a wrench, push the screwdriver through the slots in the saw, and unscrew them. If you used the adaptor, the washer should fall off. Now use two wrenches to unscrew the adaptor from the auger.

What the heck Craftsman???!!!???? Not even a pic drawing of how to put the saw bit together. What if I didn’t know how and hurt myself because of your lack of responsibility. Your company used to be great. What happened. Get your crap together.

Works well, arbor tough to remove
Having no directions is a negative, but it’s pretty easy to install on a drill. But getting the arbor off is too difficult. After struggling for a few minutes, I held the saw blade with a vise grip (wear a glove), and was able to loosen the arbor nut with a good bit of force. If there is a better method, it should be in the not-provided directions.
I rate it 5 on function, and 1 on ease of use, for an overall 3.
