this folding retractable knife is now in parts (dismantled while my hubby was trying to figure out how to load the blades). Is there any manual that shows all the individual parts of this knife and then shows how to put the unit back together. Donna

The blades are under the black part, it is just hooked in there, pull the curved bit and it will open.
To install the blade, push the locking mechanism all the way forward, push the little black oval button and put the blade in the end, then pull the locking mechanism back again.

Too complicated
Just came home. Took me forever to find the blades. Still can't figure out how to open the knife to put the blade in. Never seen a more complicated utility knife than this. Will be returning.

Among the worst Craftsman products ever bought
Have worked for a half hour trying to get the blade in…..pushing advance trigger outward, & black button in….blade goes in and falls right back out….doesn’t catch on anything inside to lock in place. Holding the sharpest point of the blade to manipulate it has got to be the worst idea ever! It in no way works as it should…not even with online instructions. Have used utility knives for years including other Craftsman’s. My advice is to read reviews BEFORE BUYING! Taking this one back & seeking another brand! Very disappointed.

Craftsman, I love your products. I buy alot of your tools and equipment. But this knife is dangerous loadind without instructions. Please work on this. Thanks.

Overall a good knife
Major problem is no instructions - finally found some on YouTube. I couldn't even find the blades without the instructions. Slider is a little stiff but I expect that will improve with use. And it has a small slot so that wire could be cut.

Poorly designed product
I bought this because of trust in the brand. No instructions. The push lever for moving the blade barely works, with great difficulty. I had no idea how to find the blades, and then install one. I went to the internet and found videos that how to load and unload the blade. They all complained about the difficulty of pressing the black button for loading the blade, just as I had experienced. This product is difficult to use and dangerous to load.

It fits good in the hand and overall a safe feeling knife it came as a 2 pack plus extra blade’s in the handle

Difficult knife
I am having the same issue as the rest of the reviewers. The knife worked fine the first day, although the folding lock release is extremely strong and requires more effort than seems necessary. After a day of folding the knife and pressing the saw-tooth release my thumb was worn raw. Two days later I needed to change the blade and it locked the blade extended out. I couldn't remove the blade or retract it. I even had other people try but ended up leaving it at home for the day. Later that evening, after many attempts to get it to work I went looking for the instructions. The instructions are minimal, which could be expected since it is just a razor knife, but when I couldn’t figure out how to change the blade, I had to dig the package out of the trash to make sure I didn’t miss anything. I hadn’t. I dangerously banged the knife on concrete until the blade released. After at least an hour I unknowingly found the sweet spot that let me put a new blade in and it retracted. I was again able to use the blade for two days but then while trying to change the blade it happened again. I tried for hours to figure it out, but I have given up. Not worth the effort. I would not recommend this product.
