Same problem as most everyone else
I thought Craftsman was supposed to be a good product. Had for one season and I have the same problem as everyone else. Endless line of string because of a broken spool feed. No tension so it just blasts out and rains spool pieces all over you. A problem they have known about for years but apparently have decided to ignore. Shame on Craftsman for making such a shoddy product and not standing behind it. Probably won’t even consider Craftsman in the future.

spool housing repair is easy!
lightweight, powerful. If spool feed part breaks, chat w/ www.craftsman.com and ask for part #24 - the lever that fits in spool housing that feeds the string on the spool. It pops out with a pair of pliers and is an easy fix.

Cheap plastic piece breaks after little use
A cheap plastic post inside the spool housing that is necessary to ratchet out the string -- this piece broke after only a few uses rendering the tool useless. I will not be buying any more craftsman tools of this type, expect higher quality components based on past experience.

Just Ok
I have had the set for a year the battery does not last enough to do my little yard. Purchased another battery so now I have two and can get it done. However my spool cap just broke and I can’t even find a replacement at the store or online. Very difficult to find the part. Spent over an hour and still worried I’ll order the wrong part and the store doesn’t have it. Disappointed I can’t solve this issue quickly.

Not good battery life
I hardly use the trimmer 8-10 times in a year and the battery lasted for 3years only.

Spool Busted
Same as everyone else, spool busted after 1 season and let's out endless line. Can't seem to fix it. Prior to that I loved it, worked great. Have a whole family of Craftsman cordless yard tools. This one isn't up to par.

Cordless trimmer blower combo
While i'm not a fan yet of battery powered yard tools, i found myself in need of such as the wife doesnt like gas powered or corded (corded actualy despised her) Though i had hopes for half decent tools i was surprised at how well that both worked, read reveiws after i receivied delivier and thought i made a mistake. Looked online for instructions as nothing worth while came with it, trimmer line, once unspooled to size is self advanced a little bit ( 1/16th")at each full start up. Which means you must cycle on and off offen, as opposed to just running down the drive. The wheel for driveway edging is remarkable, allows for precise and easy edging. Not a work horse by all means, but very capable tools. Able to trim and blow off 1/3rd acre lot with ease. I only give it a 3 star as the batteries even though lithium are small as is the the fagile looking charger, i'll update in a couple months.
