Motor started smoking
After about 10 minutes of cutting into a 1/2in thick wooden pallet with no nails and a wood blade motor started smoking. Now the saw has almost no power this is my second one as my first one did it. This is the first time I've used it and it's passed 30 days so I have no chance at getting a new one

Common problem?
Unfortunately I had the same problem many of the users have posted about, the motor began smoking while doing some light tree pruning. After cooling down the power was greatly diminished at it began to smoke again quickly when I tried to finish the job. I was unable to finish the job and thought about using the identical one I bought my son, but I am pretty sure that one would burn up too. I love Craftsman as a brand and am happy to see them back, but the quality that name deserves is lacking in this reciprocating saw. I would not recommend the tool at any price.

Sawzall smoking
Bought two sawzall drill/ driver combos. Both sawzalls started smoking after a couple uses, one driver stopped working after a couple weeks and two batteries won't keep a charge. Craftsman used to be the best but I would never again buy any of their battery powered tools.

V20 reciprocating saw
Have used for about 1. 1/2 years before it died. It did do a fair amount of work before motor burnt up. Now to see how well the warranty process goes. Already did this once on a cordless drill it was pretty painless.
