Garbage product
I bought one of these for my coop on Black Friday. I've had it plugged in since then and it's seemed to do what it's designed to do. Today we had our first real cold snap, and I have a perfectly healthy 2 year old chicken that's frozen to death and the Cozy Coop is ice cold. This product is straight garbage, this never happened when I used a heat lamp.

Ok temporarily....
I bought this in December 2022 when we were expecting a major cold snap. It worked great when we needed it for that purpose. There is no temp regulation so it required a lot of manual monitoring and adjustments with the assistance of a thermometer in the coop.
I just got it out for the season (it was stored in the garage) and the switch is no longer working. The indicator light only comes on in the off position and the panels won't heat at all regardless of the setting. It sounds like many reviewers experienced issues with the switch by the second or third season. Super disappointed that we only used it for 2-3 months one season and it's already useless. Buyer beware.

Safe, effective Coop Warmer
As a veterinary epidemiologist, I know a lot about diseases of chickens (including those people get from them. But when my wife gave me 7 hens for my 70th birthday, I had to start from scratch. We get temperatures down to minus 30 centigrade, with blowing snow. I found that the Cozy Coop heater was safe and effective. Almost 5 years later, the remaining 3 hens are still laying. Great for My Chooks
I've been using this heater for several years and really like it. It takes the chill off of days like today, where it's -1 degrees with the wind chill factored in. I have it mounted to the side wall just below the nesting boxes. I do have a question, does the panel use 200 watts when on the low setting or on the high? Please list the watts used for each setting. Thanks.

Happy
So far so good. The panel is a little too long for the boxes I have the chicks in, but seems to keep them warm enough set up on the outside nestled right next to the box. Can this panel be laid on it's side for the chicks to stand on? Presumably this is not safe? And it seems to me that the double line mark means "high" and the single "low"?

Just one thing…
I love this product. My chickens love this product. The only thing I don't like is that there are 2 settings designated by a single horizontal line, and a double one. To date we can't figure out which one is "high" and which one is "low." And it doesn't say anywhere.

Best heater for the money
I've been raising chickens for 4 years with various heat sources including a Sweeter Heater which I also love and reptile bulbs which always worry me. This one is SO perfect for my silkies since they don't roost but sleep on a platform with this behind them. Easy to clean and I love the two heat settings. I am buying another one for my other coop. Great product and excellent value. I like knowing my pet birds are cozy.
