The Cobra Tools drain auger features reinforced cable thumbscrew providing a high impact resistance for durability. It clears pipes of 1 1/2" diameter, quickly and effectively. The drain auger measures 1/4" wide by 25' long. This product is covered by a 1-year warranty.

Did a great job
Found a kitchen sink draining slowly. It did really helps to unclog it. Saves me the money to call the plumber.

Wire not strong enough, not a good tool
I had a manual one before and the wire was much stronger, stiffer, this one is garbage, you have to be very close to the entry point. The wire twist easily.

Broke after one use
I bought it today and was really happy because it did the job and unclogged my bathtub drain but on the flip side, it broke. I used a drill at first and the spring popped up. And then I tried with the hand crank but now it’s won’t come back in with the hand crank and I have to feed it through manually. So mixed review

Unclogged kitchen sink drain!
I almost didn't buy the cobra auger tool based on the negative reviews however in the end I decided to go to Rona to check it out for myself. The tool did not come in a box so I was able to examine it. The Cobra auger is well built so I bought it to unclog my corner kitchen sink. The last time my kitchen sink clogged (10 years ago) I got a plumber to unclog it and it cost me $300 for a 15 minute job. The first thing I did when I came home was to pull out the auger cable to the max and it did pop out of the housing as one negative reviewer stated however I pushed the cable back into the housing and it was all good. I was also able to verify at the 25 ft spot that there is a visible mark in the cable so you know not to go any further. Anyway, I went down 20 feet into my kitchen pipe connected the drill bit end to my drill and was able to clear my drain pipe. It saved me $260 so I'm glad I bought it.

Excellent entry level drill auger......
This auger is built well, very sturdy plastic materials, and does the job. It's priced right and good for a do it yourself homeowner. It will save you big money on a plumber. I don't understand the poor reviews on here, they don't sound credible.
