Description
Repair and extend the life of a damaged garden hose with this heavy-duty Gilmour clinch hose mender. When holes or cracks appear in plastic or rubber hoses, cut away the damaged portions and use this clinch mender to splice the hose ends back together. Constructed with a strong brass body and clincher fingers that hold the coupler securely to the hose, this durable water hose fitting will help maintain a leakproof seal that stands up to regular use.

Leaks terribly
I had a pretty bad split in my 5/8" hose so I cut it out and joined it with the Gilmour connector. Now it leaks even worse - the gadget is a waste of money

Leaks like crazy even after tightening the clinches using both channel lock pliers and vise grip pliers. Waste of time and money.
