Are the cut out length and width the same as the overall length and width?
The cutout should be smaller than the total dimensions of the sink. 1/2" to 1" will be sufficient. The rim on the sink should sit on the surface of the countertop with the bowl section dropping through the cutout.

How can the cut out length be the same as the overall length? No lip? My cut out is 17.5 X 16.5. The cabinet can accept 19 X 18. How do I know if this will fit?

The unit is advertised online. Now is less water splash on the counter.
