The C by GE On/Off Smart Switch adds smart bulb functionality to traditional bulbs and keeps smart bulbs smart. The smart Wi-Fi switch adds out-of-home control, scheduling and scene setting to traditional bulbs. When C by GE smart bulbs are installed, the smart switch allows app or voice control even when power is turned off at the switch. Pair the Smart Switch with C by GE Smart Bulbs in other fixtures like table lamps and control your all your lights in the room from one wall switch. C by GE On/Off Smart Switch wirelessly connects with other C by GE Smart Switches so you can control the same light fixture from multiple switches-connecting the switches wirelessly still applies, even if the switches are on different circuits. Simple DIY set up. The Smart Switch connects directly with Google Home and Amazon Alexa devices without a hub required. Works with most common residential wiringu no neutral wire required.

They are good but ...
I have quite a few of the Cync products in my home. Maybe 10 switches and three smart plugs. I'm a technologist and I found that I had to fiddle with them a lot. For some reason the plugfs would not do the firmware update for several weeks, but I just kept trying, and after some days it worked. I find the way to create schedules sometimes works sometimes does not. Once I get a schedule working, I'm afraid to change it in case it does not work again. My overall impression is that if this product is going to continue, they need to do a lot more testing and make it a lot more robust. Anyway, integration with Google Home has been good, but sometimes the switches on a three-way circuit seem to get confused, and you need to ask Google to turn the other switch on or off. Three-way circuits also seem to have the most trouble getting out of whack with schedules. I do recommend them, but you might need to fiddle and have a networking / technical person handy when at first you do not succeed!!

I personally am not the most tech savvy person but with some guidance from my tech husband, it was fairly easy to install. It’s nice to be able to turn a light on in your home before entering; great safety feature!

Great for detached office

The routine of having to go slosh through the snow to turn lights off before bed is over! Super happy with remote light control. Technology is definitely made this homemaker have a happy home.

Nice for the home

I like that you can have different settings and you have an app to be able to turn lights on when you are not home and you forget to turn them on before you leave the house. I will definitely purchase a few more switches for the the garage.

Great switch!
