The Baron(TM) S440 PRO IR elevates the grilling experience to a whole new level. This 40,000 BTU gas grill includes 4 Dual-Tube(TM) burners that provide heat evenly on every grate, and Linear-Flow(TM) valves for infinite heat control. The thick cast aluminum cookbox cooks convection-style meals. Stainless steel cooking grids have great heat retaining capabilities and resist corrosion and wear, while the stainless steel Flav-R-Wave(TM) cooking system vapourizes juices to enhance the unique barbecue flavour of grilled meats. The powerful 10,000 BTU infrared side burner uses intense heat to quickly sear meats. Featuring a wide 660 sq. in. of total cooking space, you can invite friends and family over for a feast! Sure-Lite(TM) ignition system is a reliable single-button flame starter, and integrated Accu-Temp(TM) lid thermometer gives you a clear idea of internal temperature. Additional features include backlit control knobs and fold-down side shelves.

Great quality purchase!
Received as a wedding gift in 2000, 24 years later and it still works great. The newer ones are much nicer looking, maybe I’ll get one for our 25th anniversary.

Absolute North American made Quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second Broil King grill . The Baron model is built with quality materials, heavy and well made. The light up controls were definitely unique, but the best thing is the Infrared Side Burner, perfect for searing steaks.

Solid and reliable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this grill for one year now, and I use it during the heat of summer and cold of winter. It is a reliable machine and solidly built. The only issue I've had is if the wind hits it just right the flame will blow out. Outside of that no issues whatsoever and I've been really happy with this purchase. I wanted a grill that wasn't a throw-away-in-two-years purchase and that is exactly what I got.

It is a good grill but rusts out way too quick
I had my grill for 2years and the igniter went out on it.
I have had my grill now for a total of about six and a half years and it is about due for me to relace the whole thing.
They say it is warranties for 10 years. I keep it covered and it still rusted out way too quick.

Bad side burner infrared
Love this BBQ, except the infrared side burner pilot won’t shut off after the burner is going. The side of the fry pan gets covered with black smoke, and cant get it off the side.

Fast warm up
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This grill heats up quickly and gets hot. There is a learning curve to manage the heat. Once managed this grill exceptionally sears all cuts and evenly grills to perfection. For my daughters wedding I grilled a turkey. It was top tier full of flavour including a smoke ring within the meat. She and the guests were delighted.

Excellent BBQ Grill and Infrared Side Burner.
After a lifetime of going through cheap BBQs this one is so solid a build. I'm thinking it may be the last one I have to purchase. Sorry BroilKing! I purchased a few extra bits and pieces that I figured would take the brunt of the wear & tear along with a few accessories. My model isn't the top of the line but it is a truly well built unit. The side burner is a bonus... just plop the steak on it for 30 seconds a side to sear it, then into the BBQ for a totally controlled, evenly balanced broil. Easy cleanup. Nice work, BroilKing!
