Description
This BRK(R) smoke alarm utilizes photoelectric smoke sensing to procure reliable protection. The unit is equipped with the patented OptiPath(R) technology designed to provide an unobstructed 360° access to the smoke alarm as well as a 10-year lithium battery backup. The smoke alarm features a stroboscope with 177 synchronized LED lights to provide effective visual and audible warnings intended to waken hearing impaired residents. When multiple units are installed, strobes flash in unison. This product is backed by a 10-year limited warranty.

Fail after 1-2 years
They do not last. They are rated for 10 years but electrician installed 6 in our new cottage and 3 have failed in the first 2 years. Definately would not buy. I am going to replace them all with a different brand

Run far far away
My builder put these in and they would randomly go off in the middle of the night, happened multiple times. They suddenly die and give an “end of life chirp” that never ends. I’ve had almost all of these replaced. Thankfully they have a 10 year warranty and they just send a replacement but it’s extremely annoying to keep calling. Plus you never know if there’s an actual fire or concern with the amount of times they beep randomly. I would never buy these again.

Came installed in condo like many others and we have had two fail in a two year span due to “malfunction”.
It should be illegal to sell fire alarms of this quality.

Worse smoke alarms ever made!
These were installed in my new construction home 4 years ago. They go off constantly and I have had to replace all of them starting 1 year ago.in spite of the “10 year” battery life. Expensive, horrible smoke alarms

Terrible
Our house is only 1.5 years old, and this morning the smoke alarms started going off at 6am. I pushed the button and it wouldn't turn off. It went off for 20 minutes until were finally able to unplug it and it was still going off! We reset it and plugged it back in, and it immidiately started going off again. I would never recommend this.

Stay Away
I am in Fire Alarm industry and these are by far the worse Smoke Alarms I have had to deal with in 25 years. My guess is they will eventually be recalled .
