Dead after 5 years from
Broke after 5 years
We purchased this fridge 5 years ago. Compressor stopped working due to major ice build up in coils. Repair people said it will not work after removing ice. Fridge kept leaking and now it’s dead. Sorry Maytag but this product is HORRIBLE. Should not have to purchase a new fridge 5 years later!!!

Great Refrigerator

Only had it for 4 months and so far I did see a drop in my electric bill
Plus it looks great! The spot free stainless makes cleaning up very easy.
The delivery was also the best I ever had.

Works perfectly for our limited space.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I waited 5 months for this refrigerator, and it was worth the wait.
I was limited to a 33" wide and counter depth refrigerator which left me with few choices. I also wanted a straight handle versus a bow handle, adjustable split shelves, flat front door, third drawer deli tray, and an industrial (straight) door handle. The seal is incredible as once it closed it takes a few second before it can be re-opened.
A few disappointments:
1. The cheaper quality on sliding out the vegetable, fruit and deli drawers. My 22-year-old KitchenAid refrigerator slide out on wheels for a smooth and even glide which is totally missing from this Maytag.
2. I also liked that the shelves pulled out in my old refrigerator which made accessing the items in the back a lot easier.
3. The refrigerator door bins are not as sturdy as my old refrigerator and were a little harder to get inserted into the grooves.
4. I prefer refrigerating my eggs and the new refrigerator is lacking that bin.
5. Taking out the freezer dividers took watching a YouTube video to figure out how to do it, and even then, it took us awhile get them out.

The refrigerator makes terrible sounds.
I have had service over here twice The problem has not been fixed We do not have a water hookup but it sounds like ice cubes dropping in a metal container either that or the appliance is always shifting into different gears. I am very displeased. I would not by another Maytag refrigerator

A Wonderful Appliance!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new fridge. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is that I didn't anticipate that the freezer would be so small. The upper fridge is absolutely wonderful, but in the freezer, the ice maker takes up a lot of space. I could not use it, I guess, but I do like using ice in water glasses. I generally make large dinner meal portions then freeze individual meals. I don't have as much room as I was used to. But Maytag is one of the best rated of all the refrigerators out there -- well earned too! After having to replace a different brand after only 4 years, I was very careful to read reviews!
