Having seen bad reviews I read carefully the reply from Bosch, and followed their directions for breaking in the blade. I slowly ripped through ash boards about one-inch thick and 76 inches long about 6 or 7 times. Although the ideal blade for these rips would have been 1/2 or 3/4 inch wide and only 3 or 4 tpi, this 1/4-inch, 6 tpi blade -- it was the better of two choices at Reno Depot -- did a remarkable job. Tuning your bandsaw and breaking in the blade by using a half-speed feed are the keys to getting 5-star performance from this blade -- as I have come to expect from Bosch products.
