Description

Motors do not last many hours of light use.
Hello, purchased 2 of these saws, both motors failed, quit! I got 1 motor repaired, did not last very long. Garbage.

Defective stand
I can’t comment on how the saw works since I never plugged it in. The stand manufacturer is defective since the spring loaded catching mechanism does not clear the frame, and so the stand binds shut. I had to loosen both bolts at the pivot point so there was a 1/8 inch gap to get the stand to open, however this of course make the unit wobbly, and it still catches when opening. It appears as well that the welding on the arm with the wheel was not quite straight, causing some of the issues in opening the stand. Rona associate where I purchased told me they would only do an exchange, so will have to fight for a refund. I can’t recommend the product or the store.

Well Made and Thought out
I’ve been using this saw for a month now and I have to say that I keep being surprised with the quality of the components it’s made from. They’ve thought of everything wrt functionalities. The power at 4HP is great and the precision of the fence and cuts are quite impressive. No hesitation, I’d buy this again and recommend it to others.

Bad taste in my pocket bo from
Motor failed
Had this saw for about 4 years on my work shop and used it occasionally. The fence needed to be constantly checked for trueness and last week the motor failed. I requested Bosch sell me the saw without the stand which I already had purchased with my saw. They wouldn’t have it. Nope, can’t help you. Bosch lost a customer…..buyer beware!!!

Great saw
Once assembled only adjustment needed was squaring up the miter gauge and setting up the fence. Saw has soft start feature which is hard to find in a saw at this price range. The gravity rise table is a nice feature allowing me to easily move the saw. After reading reviews on this saw I decided to purchase it. It now compliments my Bosch compound miter saw.
