Description
Permafix is a lime and Portland cement-based mortar, mainly used for repointing. In other words, it can help you fix damaged mortar joints. It can be used inside or outside to repoint masonry brickwork. Permafix can be coloured with the Easy-match colouration system to match existing mortar colour. It has a shelf life of 1 year in unopened containers.

I went to the store to buy the 60 lb bag but the clerk recommended this instead - "for smaller jobs". It was easy to portion out, mix and use. I was worried that the mortar would be too dark but relieved to find the colour was a close match to the sand colour of the original mortar. So I recommend it for simple small jobs. I was disappointed to find that 5 KG didn't go far and that I have to buy more. Also curious as to what the difference is between this and the 60 lb bag of mortar since the online descriptions are the same. Why is this one so expensive?
