Simple to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Black + Decker has always been a brand that I trust and go to first when I am looking for specific tools. This Outdoor Grounded Outlet with Timer is no exception to other Black + Decker products. Well constructed, easy to assemble, and pretty straightforward to use. Each outlet has its own door that stays securely closed when not in use. The timer is easy to set up although the tabs are pretty small. But once it's set, you don't have to do anything else. The power cord may be a bit short, but was perfect for where I needed to place it in my yard. Overall, very pleased and I expect to get many years of use out of it.

Super handy

Nice timer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice mid tier outdoor timer. It has plenty of outlets which is going to be great for Christmas next year. The timer is a nice touch although it is analog and I prefer digital. The ground spike is pretty long which could give you trouble if you have clay soil.

So handy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My one complaint is the cord is too short, the outlet I can use and the ground are too far apart for a 20" cord without having to use an extension cord.
Otherwise, this timer works wonderfully. It's got that old school timer wheel that works perfectly every time.
Lot's of outlets for lots of whatever you want to plug into it.

High quality with ample outlets
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a review of the Black + Decker Outdoor Garden Spike 6 Grounded Outlets Timer. It has 6x outlets with a timer, 15A is waterproof and has overload protection. It has a grounded 3 prong cord that is almost 20’ long so it can be placed pretty far away without the need of an extension cable. The 6 outlets are great if you have multiple items you want to plug in and running at the same time. I have 5 different series of flood lights currently plugged into it and it's working great. The timer has 30-minute intervals with 48 setting options for a 24 hour period. I’m just having them turn on/off at a set time currently, however I will be plugging it into a smart switch where I can schedule a dusk to dawn event since I don’t want to have to keep tweaking the timer as the sun sets/rises. Not a big deal as the timer is great on this unit, but I’m old and senile and would forget to adjust it. Overall the unit feels like its built very well and seems to be high quality.

Well built and convenient to use!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Black + Decker offers a wide variety and tools and gadgets, and I’ve always been satisfied with how they’ve performed, so I was happy to give this Outdoor Garden Spike 6 Grounded Outlets and Timer a chance. Too, I already have an outdoor timer from Black + Decker (without the stake) and it has worked excellently. So unsurprisingly, I’m very happy with this one too.
It comes in four pieces…the stake and a middle rod, a sleeve and the outer/timer body. Putting it together took less than a minute, though it did take me a second to figure out what the sleeve was for. There aren’t instructions for putting it together, but it’s pretty intuitive. Still, I suggest the instructions have a diagram.
The stake and rod are hard, solid plastic, heavily built, and made to last. Depending on how hard the ground is, you can either push the outlet in as a whole, or you can unscrew the body and use a rubber mallet to give the rod a few gentle whacks to seat it firmly in your yard.
There are six grounded outlets, each with its own door so only those that are in use will be open. The doors have a good spring, keeping them tightly closed when not in use. The timer at the top also has a clear shell that keeps it water tight.
Using the timer is easy, choosing when you want it active in 30 minute increments. You turn the knob to the current time, then press down the slots of the time you want the outlet to be powered. The timer knob turns smoothly, with quiet clicks like a kitchen timer. Obviously if there is a power outage, you will have to reset the “current” time, so that everything comes on when you mean it to. If you have large fingers, you may want to use a pen or nail or something, as the 30 minute increment tabs are pretty small. I use the edge of my fingernail on the outside and don’t have a problem.
The cord itself is short…you’ll need an appropriately powered extension cord to use this in your yard. That is my only minor quibble…everything else about this is completely satisfying.
I’ve had my other timer for at least a few years and it works as good as new, so I expect this one to last a very long time. All my experiences with Black + Decker products have been good ones, and this Outdoor Garden Spike 6 Grounded Outlets and Timer is the same.

It has enough plugs for all your needs in ONE unit! no more hunting for an outlet to plug in when this will meet all your outlet needs, It will not disappoints and it has a timer too. It is a set it and forget it type to keep your light decorations on at the time you set it and for how long! Real quality and not a cheap piece. It won't let you down.
