Use the correct size strung, have tried several types of the .065. Wind carefully, parts correctly positioned gulps and done. Time for new string. The old tap system is much better.

Over feeding of line
This is the second time I’ve bought this weed eater. It is a great yard tool for me since it is lightweight and easy to use. The first lasted about 4 years until the line feeder broke. This second one had problems from the moment I used it. Like most people’s complaints, I have issues with the line feeding nonstop. My yard is littered with 12+ inches of line that has been cut/broken off. I can’t even go 3 feet without line breaking off. I’m going through too much line for it to be helpful.

annoying power socket
the ring of the power plug does not take every extension cord. The diameter is too small and my plug doesnt fit. So now what. Buy another cord? What were they thinking? Ever heard of a standard?

Light weight and powerful
This Black and Decker String weed eater is one of my best lawn tools. The handle is adjustable for comfort when using the trimmer. The trimmer is electric but it has great power and I have cut some serious overgrown weeds with no issue. The spools are easy to change you can find them at any home improvement big box store. They are pre-strung and pop right in. This trimmer is also a edger when you turn it around, you can have your yard outlined with nice straight lines. I love the fact that it does not weigh and I can get the yard done in a day. Thank you Black and Decker

Unreliable sensor
The line feeding sensor kept continually feeding more and more line when it should have stopped.
