Broke in less than a year
The hinge mechanism broke after less than one year of daily use. The hinges are not metal but brittle plastic, and one just snapped from fatigue, and now the lid has become separated from the seat. Paid a lot of money for another piece of junk. Why is it so difficult to make a toilet seat that lasts more than one year? I am going to try to buy replacement hinges, and hope to find some in metal that will fit, but I am expecting this seat is just another piece of landfill now. Very displeased with this product, especially for the price.
