I recently purchased the Barricade Subfloor Air Plus Panel with high hopes of improving the insulation and ventilation in my home. However, my experience with this product has been nothing short of disappointing.
From the moment I began the installation process, it was evident that the quality of the panel was subpar. The material felt flimsy and prone to damage, making it challenging to handle during installation. Despite following the instructions carefully, I encountered issues with inconsistencies in panel size and shape, which further complicated the installation process.
Even after overcoming the installation hurdles, the effectiveness of the Barricade Subfloor Air Plus Panel left much to be desired. Despite claims of air gap technology, I noticed minimal improvement in subfloor ventilation, and the insulation benefits were negligible at best. The panel failed to deliver on its promised functionality, leaving me questioning its efficacy.
Moreover, durability proved to be a significant concern. Within a short period, the panel showed signs of wear and tear, including warping and deterioration. It became apparent that the Barricade Subfloor Air Plus Panel was not built to withstand the rigors of everyday use, further diminishing its value.
In addition to the product's shortcomings, my attempts to address these issues with the manufacturer and retailer were met with limited success. Customer support was lacking, and the resolution process was more cumbersome than expected, adding to my frustration.
Overall, my experience with the Barricade Subfloor Air Plus Panel has been deeply disappointing. Its poor quality, lack of effectiveness, and durability issues make it difficult to recommend to others. As a consumer, I expected better from Barricade, and I'm left regretting my decision to invest in this product.
In conclusion, if you're considering the Barricade Subfloor Air Plus Panel for your insulation and ventilation needs, I would advise exploring alternative options that prioritize quality and performance.

As other Reviewers say, quality is now poor
Bought this years ago and it was awesome, finally finishing my basement. Now the product is 1/8 inch thinner(used to be 5/8, now 1/2) and the OSB is of poor quality with strips of fiber peeling off. the T+G is about the same with lots of tear-outs from dull tooling. VERY Disappointed!!!! I can understand if it was a new product, but it’s the same UPC! it should be the same sizes.

Purchased more boards to finally finish my basement reno and only noticed on install that they were quite a bit thinner. The problem I faced is that they sag considerably under weight so shimming is needed in the middle of the boards unlike the older boards which were quite rigid. If matching them up to the older boards you also need to shim underneath and feather out the tops due to the different thicknesses. I can only assume they're making them cheaper due to the cost of osb. If I didn't live so far away from the city I would've returned them to the store and gone over to their competitor for some Dricore. Next time I guess.
