Great pool pump timer
Bought this 13 yrs ago to install in the outside shed. It finally gave up the ghost during the hot spell after going through plenty of them. Pool pump is 1.5 hp on 240V

For my pool pump
I installed in my ched where my pump is. Lasted a year. This summer the heat/humidity was insane for about a week. Timer stopped working after that. Actually the relays inside fried. Figured i'd go hi tech with the timer. Big mistake. Going to purchase a mechanical timer instead.

Works as intended
I bought this timer to run my water heater only during off-peak hours. Installation and programming are straightforward. Since my electric water heater provides way more hot water than I need in a day, it makes sense to only fire it up during off-peak hours which saves me roughly $5 per month, so the timer will pay for itself in about a year and a half (your mileage may vary).
