Very long lasting sickening chemical odour
I must agree with all reviews complaining about the horrible odour. Sadly I must report that even after a year, its still horrendous. Used it on a very small staircase. Can't even open the windows near it, as it permeates the interior of my building. Do not buy this product.

Does exactly what it is supposed to
I have used this product frequently in the manner that it is supposed to be used and have no complaints. This is made to treat wood cuts. Cuts, cuts, cuts… not a deck stain, not a wood stain, an end cut treatment product. As a hard landscaper, I will tell you all straight out that this product does what it is supposed to do. If you are looking to stain your deck, use something else. If you think that it is cheaper to by Spruce lumber and then treat it with this product, you are correct, BUT… it won’t work like using pressure treated wood. It won’t last that long. If you want to stain a deck, use stain.

It’s a wood PRESERVATIVE!
Yes it has a chemical smell, it is a mixture of chemicals with the purpose of slowing down wood decay. Thank goodness. There are very few wood PRESERVATIVES on the market, most are just cosmetic tints with absolutely no preservatives qualities.

Stinks so bad!!!
Recommended by Rona employee as I was looking for some other product that was discontinued. I only did my post tops on my fence and man my yard stinks. I am not even at home right now and it's been hours, I still have a headache and can still smell the products as if it has seeped into my pores. I wore gloves and did not spill it so I am not sure why this is happening. I probably should have worn a 3m respirator mask. If there is another product, someplace else, maybe try that? This stuff is like varsol and gasoline and turpentine mixed together.
