Could it be used for a water bucket heater for horses ?
This Plug-in Thermostat should work fine with all plug-in heaters, fans, and A/Cs. It does not provide any compatibility restrictions.

If the power goes out, will the appliance turn back on automatically once power is restored?
If the power goes out, once power is restored, It will not affect the thermostat. The device plugged in restoration would depend on the device. However, upon restoration of power, the thermostat will continue to run causing the device that was previously on to continue to be on.

What wattage is this unit rated for?
1875 watts for resistive load (15 amps) (for heaters etc.) or 9 amps or 1/2 HP for Inductive load (for motors like air conditioners).

Can I plug an extension cord to an outlet that is far from reach then plug this thermostat to the other end followed by the infrared heater panel into the thermostat in question
I have two choice of plugs for this thermostat. One is on a 15amp breaker. The other is on a 20amp breaker. Can I use either one?
Is there a version of this unit that can be set to temperatures between 0 and minus 10 c?

Thermostat needed - Wexstar Infrared Panel Heater
A much needed product for the Wexstar Infrared Panel Heater for Rooms Up to 250 sq ft - 80. Please note that this thermostat when plugged into one outlet will block the second outlet. It is recommended by electrician to not use this device or the heater with a splitter plug or a surge protector. You must plug direct to the wall.

Works just the way we wanted.
I bought this a few weeks ago and we use it for our electric fireplace inn our bedroom. It works well. Plug the fireplace into it and our room temp is maintained.
