Great Product, Poor Packaging
The Allen + Roth Room Darkening Blinds were a great purchase that immediately elevated the appearance of our bedroom, which previously had standard venetian blinds covering the door to our patio. I love that they can be drawn from both top and bottom, as it allows for a bright room during the day without sacrificing privacy when drawn from the top. Elimination of the irritating cord found on standard blinds is a huge bonus and gives the window covering a clean, modern look; simply pull/push to the desired level—so easy!
Somewhat ironically, they delivered on their claims regarding ease of installation and cleaning as printed on the packaging, which itself was less than ideal: gaps in the seams of the box were loosely taped together (vs glued) so the blinds were covered in sawdust and other debris that required cleaning out of the box. Furthermore, the instructions for installation were not included in the box as advertised, but thankfully were very easy to locate on the Rona website. Once the initial hiccups were dealt with, installation only took about 20 minutes and can easily be done by a single person.
Despite the packaging problems, I would still recommend these blinds for anyone looking to update their window coverings without paying an arm and a leg for custom blinds, as I have in the past.

Allen + Roth Blinds
Allen + Roth Faux Wood blinds were easy to install by myself, it is sturdy and looks great. the quality of the blinds could be better though. it doesn't really work for room darkening as some light does get through. I do like that there is no long cord hanging around beside the blinds.

Quality blinds!
This is an overall quality blind that looks nice. I really like how there are no strings or any long cords attached to the blind set which makes it much safer for animals and children to not get tangled in. The faux wood gives the slats of the blinds a sleek look The blinds are super easy to adjust up and down and provide good coverage of light from the window when shuttered. Overall a great blind for a good price.

Great looking blinds
This is a great product for a good price. The slats on the blinds look very nice with the wood pattern printed on them. It is also extremely convenient that you are able to cut the entire blinds with just a power saw in order to make the blinds fit your window. You are easily able to pull the blinds up or down without any long cords or wires so you do not need to worry about a young child being tangled. Overall they are good quality nielookon blinds that will look good in any window of your home.
