Questionable design and quality.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 80gal rain barrel is huge! It's about 4.5 feet tall and will hold so much water!! The look of it is nice, and it looks like stone. The installation of the spigot and nozzle are simple. Unfortunately, the lower drain nozzle just wasn't thought out correctly. The valve to make it closed can't be turned unless you turn the whole nozzle peice, almost removing it. The top is supposed to have a planter area as well, in which there are directions to drill holes. The resin material there is not very thick and very questionable as to how it will hold up. The design for the planter area just doesn't seek very well thought out. It seems like it will do the job collecting water. I just don't think it will have very much longevity with how the quality feels.

Looks good, but tricky setup
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a portion of our roof where water is diverted to flow off the roof, and we placed the barrel there. I watched it closely after the first hard rain and placement was good but the bottom hose attachment spot was leaking as quickly as rain was falling. The instructions included were very minimal; my husband followed them and is experienced with much more complex plumbing but had to rig the bottom one to seal properly--it didn't do so initially.
The spigot is very high; we've had two big rains and still haven't reached high enough to use it, and it appears to be weathered already.
We had to use a screwdriver to take the lid off to access the parts to install which were inside the barrel, which is odd. We still need to drill holes in the portion meant to plan flowers so water doesn't collect there. Seems like something that could be already done to not collect standing water for mosquitos.
It looks nice but the setup is a bit odd and excessive considering the lack of instruction provided.

PRACTICAL, CONVENIENT & PERFECT SIZE !

Huge capacity and extremely well built

And the maintenance required is very minimal. It collects a shocking amount of rain water quickly. I’m impressed and pleased with it.

Love my rain barrel! Love it!

Holds 80 gallons, has a functional spigot at the lower bottom and the top has an area for a planter for cute plants!! So it will blend in as a giant potted planter.

This rain barrel not only serves as an efficient water collection system but also doubles as a decorative piece in my garden thanks to its stylish brownstone finish, which blends seamlessly with the outdoor environment.
The capacity of 80 gallons is ample for my watering needs, allowing me to conserve a significant amount of water. The design is thoughtful, with a brass spigot that makes it easy to fill watering cans, and there's an overflow valve that I've found useful during heavy rains to prevent spillage.
One of the unique features of this barrel is the planter on top. I haven't yet planted any flowers in it, but I'm looking forward to adding some colorful annuals to enhance its appearance even further. This planter top adds a functional and aesthetic touch, enabling the barrel to serve a dual purpose as a rain collector and a garden feature.
Overall, the Algreen Athena Rain Barrel is a practical, environmentally friendly, and attractive addition to my garden. I'm excited to see how it fully comes together once I add some blooming flowers to the planter top.

Beautiful rain barrel!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice, sturdy rain barrel! I love that you can plant flowers on top! If anyone thinks they are missing parts, they are inside of the barrel and you need to unscrew the drain cover. Super easy! The instructions are easy to understand and you can hook up multiple barrels! We are so excited to set this up and get some rain!
