Instructions are wrong
Beware the instructions are wrong. I purchased a Foldable teak shower seat ABS16R-PC. The instructions say to put the mounting brackets at 11.8" on center. So I did. EXACTLY. I placed the decorative covers on the mounts and went to mount the seat. It would not work. I double checked my measurements and everything was as instructed. I checked the bars on the seat and found that they weren't 11.8" on center but more like 11.6 This doesn't seem like much but its enough to eliminate any clearance and not allow the seat to mount properly once the decorative covers are on. Without the covers there is no problem (it's still off center but workable). I managed to force the seat to mount but it is very stiff and doesn't sit in the upright position properly. Also the decorative covers need a hole opposite the one used to insert the hinge pin so you can unmount the seat if required in the future. I drilled one myself. Overall I am NOT pleased with quality of instructions.
