Agri-Fab Inc., Remote Hose Kit makes short work of clean up around shrubs, basement window wells, flower beds, and decks. This remote hose kit fits both the 45-0577 Mow-N-Vac, and the 45-0578 Chip-N-Vac. The hose is 5-inches diameter, 10-feet long, it attaches easily with wing nuts, and has a convenient steel handle.

SHOULD CHECK ITEM BEFORE SHIPPING
I BOUGHT INADVERTENLY BOUGHT 2 SYSTEMS. WHEN I WENT TO INSTALL ONE ONTO THE MACHINE TO USE MANUALLY THE TIP OF THE HOSE WHAT WAYYY TO SMALL FOR THE HOSE. SO NOW I'M STUCK WITH THE HOSE AND NO TIP TO USE TO PICK UP LEAVES. I RETURNED THE 2ND ONE.

Work around
I don't use the adapter for the hose kit. It easily slips in and out of the hose adapter and works fine. Quick to disconnect and reconnect. Moving the unit with the hose attached is a pain so I disconnect, relocate the unit and reconnect quickly and safely. It will suck up rocks and that isn't good for the unit. OUCH!

I bought this to go with a craftsman mow and vac that I bought a few years ago. I wish I had bought it sooner. Agra-Fab must have made the craftsman because it looks just like one. Only problem was that it did not have the correct size nuts in the package. Had to go to hardware store to get them.

Missing hardware
Assemble would be easy if all the hardware was actually included in the package. It was missing a bolt (43661) and the 4 nuts (43013) were the wrong size to fit any of the four bolts. Pretty shoddy QC. The hose kit itself works as it should once I finished the assembly using spare hardware I had in my shop.

template for instslation on cub 1042 is not worth a hoot. there is a back wheel on the mower deck wheel would have to go inside the adaptor havent used the vac as of yet
