Broke On First Use
I bought this a few weeks ago and was finally able to use it to regrade my driveway. As others noted, I had to add a cinder block to keep it from bouncing and to dig into the drive. I used it for about an hour and was almost done when the blade fell off. After inspection, I noticed the weld on the shaft was not done very well. I also noticed that there is a little bit of rust between the shaft and the plate it attach was welded to. I have reached out to the lawn and garden dealer I purchased this through to get a replacement. I hope this is a one off issue otherwise I will be asking for my money back on this and looking at a competitor's product. One that might have a tray for extra weight.

Great small box blade
Very easy to assemble only 1 page of instructions. This unit is built alot better than I thought it would be .great unit I just leveled my gravel drive way.should last a lifetime. I pull it with my husqvarna garden tractor

Cheap welds
Purchased this to do some finish grading, nothing heavy, just loose dirt. Had to make some minor modifications just to get it to attach to the sleeve hitch, nothing major just some holes were not centered properly. Worked well while it lasted but snapped one of the welds on one of the two arms leading up to where the scraper connects to the sleeve hitch. Having it re-welded and reinforced now. Hopefully it'll be better with a little reinforcement.

Worked great until a weld broke
I purchased this about a month ago and just used it for the first time 2 days ago to grade my father in law's gravel driveway. 2 hours into the job the weld from the pivot bar to the angle lock plate broke which caused the blade to freely spin at will. The weld was poorly done and looks like it never penetrated the pivot bar metal. Instead of waiting for a replacement part through warranty, which could have the same quality, I had my dad reweld it for me. He is a retired machinist and welder. Needless to say it works great now. I'm disappointed in the weld quality but not on the tool operation. Once I had it rewelded it preformed great. I hope I don't have problems with any of the other welds.

For What It Is It Works
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had this for almost six years, and while I wish it were heavy enough to really break into our road base, I knew going in that something on my little GTH24V52LS wasn't going to work my a full-size tractor. I have been able to use it to great effect on our driveway, which is road base with cedar mulch overlaid, and the only other adjustment I wish I had would be an ability to change the height of the scraper blade to not drag the ground but hover just above it. That would work best on re-layering mulch. Again, didn't think I'd get that at this size and price point, but it would be nice. As is, it gets 5 stars not because of what it can't do, but because it does what it should and does that well.

I like the design of the box scraper but it definitely needs some upgrades. I purchased this product in Dec of 19 to deal with some pot holes in my driveway. I had to add about 30lbs to the scraper to keep it from bouncing. It started working out really well, but about after 8 or 9 passes down the driveway the teeth on the scraper box wore out completely. I am hoping they have the ability to replace the bar with a higher grade steel, if not I will have one made that will not ware out so quickly. This could be a excellent product with some pretty simple modifications.
