Provides real holes for aeration for your lawn
First off, this is well worth the money. That said the instructions can be challenging as it is only a schematic of the instructions meaning only drawings. So real close attention is needed such as when you put the release bar to the axel rod, make sure you have it on the correct side. You will understand this when assembling. Take your time putting it together plus watch out for the tips on the aeration wheels as they can easily scratch your hands and arms up. Also it helps to have a thin wrench when assembling the wheels so you can tighten up the wheels to the axel, if not you will tighten up your wheels to tight and they will not roll. Also put flags out where your sprinkler heads are so not to run over them and damage them.

Great product - 48" aerator
Easy to assemble, lots of parts, recommend a battery powered impact driver to assemble. I used cinder blocks for added weight.

Plastic bushings
The aerator itself works very well but the plastic bushings on the shaft only last 1 season, if you don't use it too much. The plug rollers should have actual bearings that last. I'm going to try to find bearings that will fit and fix it myself.

It really works!
Did my homework, read the reviews, and decided to purchase the 48" plug aerator. After watching the youtube video on how to put this thing together, I thought it was easy to put together, and no I didn't cut myself doing it. The best part was using it for the first time. I did it after a few days of rain when the soil was soft. I couldn't believe how good it worked! The plugs were approx 2 1/2" long and there were alot of them. I was careful not to exceed the weight limits of the aerator and only used 120lbs of patio blocks strapped on with a couple of rachet straps. I'm not use to things working as advertised, but this really does. I power washed it when I was finished and can see this thing lasting a lifetime.

Well Built Works Well
Very happy with the quality and the way it works. Was easy to assemble and the instructions were fairly easy to follow. Plug tines are definitely sharp. I ended up with cuts and scratches on hands and arms, but I guess that is the way it needs to be to work so well. I aerated my large lawn in a couple hours right after a couple days of heavy rain. Pulled out 2-3 inch plugs, Only problem I had was spinning out going up hills because the tines were dug in so deep. Very happy and excited to see if it actually helps the lawn.
