The Agri-Fab 48 in. Tow Lawn Dethatcher is perfect for larger gardens with its twenty-four heat-treated tines that are 3/16 in. in diameter each. Ideal for bringing matted layers of thatch and large clippings to the surface. Has a simple-to-use cantilever transport handle for easy raising and lowering.

Works perfectly.
Not difficult to assemble, just allow a couple of hours, take your time, and read the instructions closely. There's a helpful YouTube video also. Pay attention to the direction of bolts in illustrations. My kit did not include the two Nylok nuts for the wheel-mounting shoulder bolts, probably due to the hole in the carton from rough handling (see pic), but I happened to have a pair on hand. The tool works great! It's a bit of a stretch to reach the handle while seated on the tractor, but still manageable.

Works, but could be much better.
The tunes work just fine, but the way it’s fabricated could be improved.
The tray that holds blocks/weights has no ends on it, so if you’re dethatching grounds that’s rough, or has roots or rocks you either need to strap down your weights or expect to get up off the mower regularly to pick them up.
The handle’s locking mechanism to hold the wheels in the down position also isn’t great. Compared to the aerator I purchased (different manufacturer) the locking mechanisms are night and day different.

40" Tine De-Thatcher
I've always depended on aerators for the care of my lawn, but decided to try a de-thatcher to wake up zoysia grass. I wish I had bought it already assembled, but managed to put mine together in a couple of hours despite being an old man. I couldn't wait to run it around my yard and am patiently awaiting positive results.
