Designed for ice control during the winter and lawn/garden maintenance during spring, summer and fall, the large 130 lb. hopper capacity helps you finish any project quickly. It features large pneumatic tires for easy manoeuvrability and 25,000 sq. ft. coverage, roughly 1/2 acre, with professional alloy bevelled gear for increased durability. The spreader includes a hopper cover, spreader grate and deflector, ideal for sidewalks. Stainless steel axle and spreader impeller for improved durability and easier cleanup. Provided grate improves material flow and spreader performance. Hopper cover and deflector keep material dry and narrows the spread pattern.

Read this as it will help you avoid problems
The product is very good, made well. However I would put lock tight (BLUE not red) on the bolt threads as I have had nuts loosen and fall off despite the lock washers. Then the part malfunctions and you could have excessive product pour out of the dispenser or even tip over due to the weight. This could cause damage to your lawn (I use it for lawn care) as well as product damage and personal injury. The service department is very quick to send you parts that were not in the box or that have malfunctioned after you put it together. The assembly video on the web site and YouTube are very good allowing you to stop the video or rewind if need be while completing assembly. Having a second person while assembly is helpful.

Equipment replacement
The model replaces my 8 yr. old model which finally rusted out. The new model has a stainless steel axle which should last longer. The spreader does a nice job getting deicer down on driveway and sidewalks.

Initial review was not good due to manufacturing defect with wheel axle shaft. CS was great in quickly responding to my problem and sent a new axle assembly. Spreader works as advertised and is well built.

2 years old and corrosion or broken parts aren’t covered under warranty

Oh and make sure to super clean after each use and grease everything before and after each use because there isn’t much made of stainless 2 parts the drive axle and impeller shaft

Excellent Slat Rock Spreader
This is an excellent Salt Rock Spreader. It holds 130 pounds of salt and have a great system of control for the amount of salt released. very pleased with the unit.
