Often stronger than the material being repaired
I 've been using this stuff for years on automotive sheet metal as well as plastic repairs around the house. This quality has always been consistent. All you have to do have to be able to follow the simple directions provided. Not adding the proper amount of hardener will keep it from drying.

Mostly all in one kit
Do yourself a favor and buy a graduated mixing cup.I have no complaints with the product, It's great. But it's marketed as an easy to use kit, then leave no tool in the kit to measure out the resin, leaving you to "eye ball" the ratio. The hardener is easy to portion out, just need to count drips. Too much or too little hardener and the result will be trash. It's not hard to do right, but you need a proper mixing cup or some sort of measuring device. Chop strand/ fiberglass mat is supposed to look like shredded wheat, dab with a brush, don't stroke and it'll be fine. You'll get some strands pulling away but after you grind it you will have a solid repair.
Overall I loved this kit. Other than a mixing cup and a paint brush, it comes with what you need for a solid fiberglass repair.

Worked well and fixed my problem
I used this to fix a hardshell suitcase that the airlines dropped off the plane which cracked it around the wheels (it was only a few months old). While it is a bit messy to work with, I applied multiple layers of the fiberglass cloth and followed the directions to a "T" and my suitcase is back in business!

Repairs to holes in a canoe and ia lawn mower deck
I bought this to fix a hole in a fibreglass canoe. I cut two pieces of cloth to be about 3 cm larger than the hole. I took the container for mixing and measured 25 mL of water in the container then and 25 mL and marked again and so on. Then I dried it and added the amount of resin I was going to use and noted that it was 25 mL. I added 10 drops of hardener and stirred. I applied some of it to the area around the hole and then immersed the first piece of cloth and then put it oj the canoe and used a disposable brush to smooth it in place. I did the same with the second piece (wearing gloves!). I waited 90 minutes, sanded and painted. The canoe does not leak. I had a lawn mower with a hole in the deck from rust. I sanded around the edges and the did the same repair as on the canoe. It does hold but as the mower continues to rust further out, I had to put in a new patch a couple of years later. I works as advertised - at least for me.

Never got hard
well, the instructions didn't lie...followed them to the "T" but they say in the instructions
"if it gets hard......... " as if they know it's not going to work.
Maybe the problem is the expect you to guestimate.

Waste of my money
Despite following the directions exactly as displayed on the box, three separate times, the resin never set up to harden. Extremely disappointed in a product from a well known company like Bondo/3M. If there was a product guarantee on the box I'd be asking for a refund. Don't waste your money.

Terrible product!
The fiberglass that is provided is so bad that this product is worthless. It's just like a bag of shredded wheat. You should buy the fiberglass cloth elsewhere and then the epoxy as well. You cannot add the epoxy to the fiberglass without pulling it all away.
