Description
The Zinsser® Bulls Eye 1-2-3® water-base primer-sealer adheres to glossy walls and trim, without the need for sanding. Perfect for interior and exterior use, it seals stains, graffiti and tannin bleed. It is rust inhibiting and provides a mould and mildew resistant film. This low-odour product dries quickly in 1 hour. It is white and tintable. 3.7 L

The worst.
Currently reno-ing our house, including painting. Which I have done for years. At one point, it was literally my job. Prior to starting, we did some research on primers and decided to try this one. What a mistake.
We prepped properly, followed all instructions to a T. Trialled it on one wall, initially letting it dry for 60 min as per instructions before starting a second coat. Left it overnight. Came back in the morning, the wall was very, very tacky still, and not in a fun, whimsical "this will be a great adhesive coat!" Sort of way. Noticed a tiny spot in one area that had a nailhole, so filled that, and let it dry for a few hours. Went to lightly sand it with 240 grit. Barely scratched the surface- primer peeled. And not a tiny flake. A large strip. So, re-prep and re-prime the little patch (two coats). Let dry. Did a coat of paint. Left it to dry longer than THEIR manufacturer's allocated time. Check on wall, same tacky feel. Left it overnight. Same feel when I checked again in the morning. Long story short, we rinsed and repeated 4 times, leaving the initial primer coat longer and longer each time. Changed up cleaning and prep steps) used different detergent and different grit sandpaper, just in case. Same result. No matter what we did. Checked manufacturers page, checked multiple user forums in case we were missing something huge, heck, even something small! We weren't. We took it back. Complete waste of time, effort and money. I wouldn't wish this product on my enemies if I had them. We painted trim tonight. You know what that means, folks! Tape. Which obviously, you guessed it, peeled in multiple spots after over a week of being finished- because we wanted to ensure it was hardened for tape enough. 3 weeks later and this garbage is still haunting me.

Goes on Easy!
I am pleased with the coverage of this product. I needed to cover a smell of nicotene and this definitely worked. I liked that they told you to wash the walls first on the can. I appreciate good instructions like this. I will know how it performs once I put my paint on but from what I see so far it will go on easier because of this primer. There is no odor present now!

Worst primer I’ve ever used
The girl at the store recommended this as the vast product. I’ve been paint for 40 years and this stuff is horrible. It was like water, dripped everywhere. I let it dry for 24 hours because the smell had made me sick. Had to do two coats of primer and two coats of paint and now I have a bedroom that smells super strong like primer. I’ve had windows open for three days, washed all the walls twice, put baking sofa in the room and still smells. I have a 87 year old lady moving in and don’t know where to put her.

Can’t get it off brushes
This paint may be very good- I won’t know until after the winter takes it’s toll. The really negative thing I noticed right away is that the primer builds up on the brush and the tray because it dries too quickly, I think. And it is a real nightmare to clean it off the brushes and paint trays. The company states that soap and warm water clean up is sufficient. Well, not true- you have a huge mess on your hands! I won’t be using this product again.
