Everything you need to know about the Nutone Haven insect repellant system
How does it work?
A vaporizer releases an invisible and odourless repellant which will protect a 12-ft. diameter. A low-voltage cable connects the fixtures containing the vaporizers, and a controller with an ON / OFF button activates the system when protection is needed. When the green LED indicator is on, the system is operating.
How long does each cartridge last?
A cartridge will last approximately 216 hours, assuming an average season of 90 days, with the system being used 2.4 hours per day.
Does this repellant system also repel other types of insects?
The system has been designed and tested to repel mosquitoes. It has not been tested on other types of insects.
Does the system need to be removed at the end of the summer?
No, this is a one-time type of installation. The fixtures and repellant cartridges can stay outdoors permanently.
Does the system kill insects?
No, the system is intended to keep them away from your outdoor living space, not kill them.
Are there any environmental precautions to take into consideration when using this system?
If you have a fish pond, make sure the repellent does not drift into the water. Keep the fixtures at a safe distance as the repellent is toxic to aquatic life.
