I see in the picture that this is a left hand drain. Is the base universal meaning you can spin it 180 degrees and it becomes a right hand base. Also do you recommend using a leveling cement under the base. Thanks
No - you cannot change the drain location by spinning the base, you must order it with either a left or a right drain. You will need to check the base for level when you dry-fit it into the opening and use shims and/or cement if necessary to level it before the final installation is set in place by fastening the tiling flanges to the studs with screws. Sturdy and sleek
I bought this base about 4 months ago but I couldn't get it through Lowe's at the time so I got it through a competitor and I have to say that it installed beautifully and is excellent and sturdy. No flex, no squeaks
