Don't buy this unit
Do not buy this fan. I had it installed last year In the fall and run tested it and it was fully functional. Since then I have just used the light. I went to start the fan last week and heard a click and found that the fan wouldn't work. Replaced the battery in the remote and tried resyncing it as per the instructions with no success, not sure if it is the remote or receiver or fan motor now. All the wiring was checked and found to be OK. Tried to get a new motor under the lifetime warranty but was told I needed the receipt which has gone missing. Seeing as you can only buy it through Rona and has a lifetime warranty i fail to see how this is an issue. If you check the other reviews I think you will see this is a familiar scenario. So far I'm out the cost of the unit, the install and probably a second install and new fan, Buyer beware. Just as a last note there is no tech support to talk to only a parts person.

Wonderful Fan/Light Units
My wife and I bought 4 of these fans at the Cambridge store. We had them installed by a professional electrician at our condominium. As these are the latest in technology, there are no dip switches in the fan and the hand controllers. Instead, you pair each fan with the hand controller unit. it is important that if you have more than 1 fan to turn the power off to others while pairing. These fans are quite effective in moving air and are very attractive.

Nice but not worth it.
Installed three months ago - now the fan will not work and made a cracking sound when we tried turning it on. Had our electrician take a look at it - it's all burnt out on the inside. Do not buy unless you want a nice looking fire hazard on your ceiling.

Fan won't shut off
Wanted to love this fan, it looks so nice in our room, but now all of a sudden the fan will not turn off. The remote works for the light but will NOT turn the fan on/off. We even cut the breaker for 5 mins and it still won't shut the thing off. Sucks I'm going to have to buy a new fan.

Do not buy
This fan was exactly what we were looking for in terms of dimensions and appearance so we decided to order it despite several negative online reviews about the fan motor. We picked up this unit on February 5 and installed it the next day. On March 21 the fan completely stopped working. Obviously, we will be returning it as soon as possible and buying something else of a different brand that will hopefully last a reasonable amount of time! Or maybe we will just reinstall our old (and dated looking) fan that had been working problem free for years.

Poor quality.
The fan no longer works after only two months installed. When it did work it was quiet and stable, fit and finish were good too. Too bad, low profile ceiling fans are hard to find.
