This product as shown online does not come with the battery pack and charger. Which battery and charger is recommended for this chainsaw?
Hello JH206 - You would need an 80V battery / charger. Each voltage line (24V, 40V, 60V, 80V, and 82V) has a set of tools that are only interchangeable within their own voltage platform. Only Greenworks batteries, chargers, and machines of the same voltage are compatible and interchangeable with one another.

Will the 80v Kobalt battery work in this chainsaw? I understand they are made by the Sam manufacturer.

Disappointed in run time
I bought this chainsaw about a month ago and I have been using it around my property a few days per week and it’s great I love how powerful it is and it’s a lot quieter than gas powered ones. My problem is the run time! It advertises 120 cuts of 4x4 wood with a full battery and I would highly challenge that! I also have the 10” Greenworks pole saw and I’m very happy with it and the run time but I was surprised and disappointed how quick the battery depleted on this chainsaw.

Green works 80v Chainsaw
Decided to try the electric chainsaw after reading good reviews. Awesome saw and no breaking your arm trying to start it. Insert battery and cut. Own another 80v GW tool so I had a backup battery! We cleared about 2 acres in 2 days and have enough firewood for the whole winter! Extremely impressed!

Quiet, effortless cutting
I bought this saw to carry with on my 4 wheeler to cut fallen trees and brush that blocks the old fire trails we tend to ride. Cuts quickly and quietly and although I bring a 2nd battery along just in case I have not needed it. Also great for early morning or late evening cutting because it doesn't bother rest of the people camping around me. I have used gas chainsaws for nearly 50 years and I have always hated the noise and fumes so this saw is a pleasure to use. I am not going to rate the durabilty as I haven't had it long enough to know if it is durable or not. I may re-visit a year or 2 from now

Great saw
Plenty of power, I cut up 3 medium sized blow downs,1 charge of the battery. Seems to cut better on hardwoods than soft. Unless you're a professional I dont see needing anything more than this

A bit early to rate but seems great
We own several Greenworks tools, including a smaller chainsaw, blower and weedeater. They have all been dependable, although after quite a bit of use, the blower's switch seems to be going bad. My husband wanted a saw he could start without difficulty to cut larger trees and this fits the bill.
