How to build a small wooden Christmas tree for less than $20

This stylish and minimalist tree will add a touch of magic to your home during the holidays.
1

Gather the material

2

Cut the wood

Using a circular saw, cut 2 pieces measuring 20 inches long each from the board that will be used for the tree. Cut another piece, this one measuring 17 inches long. Cut a 12-inch piece from the board to be used as the base of the tree, and sand with sandpaper.
3

Glue the ends of the wood pieces together

Glue the ends of the wood pieces together with the wood glue. Apply wood glue to the bottom of the shortest side of the triangle. Bar clamps may be used to keep the triangle in place. Nail each end together to make the tree sturdier. Remove excess glue. Let dry 10 minutes.
4

String a ball on the line

Use the scissors to cut 3 feet of fishing line. String a ball on the line and make a knot at centre to prevent it from sliding. Tie to string to each side of the board et cut any excess wire.

Pro Tip

Choose balls of various sizes and colours for a more attractive result. Also, why not put more than one ball per string? Enjoy!
