27" Electric Convection Wall Oven - 3.9 cu. ft. - SS is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 71.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very solid performer [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were very pleased to be able to source this 27" oven by Bosch, the HBN8451UC (pic shown is incorrect). Don't know why they have discontinued offering 27" single true convection wall ovens in the US. The oven itself is attractive and functions well--heats evenly, accurately, with clear controls and no unnecessary nonsense. It is also extraordinarily quiet in cool-down mode. Our only 3 (minor) complaints are that the oven seems slower to reach temperature than we expected, the clock numerals are a bit smaller and dimmer than we'd prefer, and it is too easy to mistakenly set off an alarm by bumping into the oven, which should be more controlable (either by setting in more deeply into its opening, or better, by placement of the controls). Overall, though, it is attractive and Bosch-like in the best sense in functions most important to us.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bosch HBN8651UC Double Wall Oven [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the BEST double wall oven ever! It is the fourth I have had in my lifetime. Touch control is so easy - barely have to press the numbers. Love the different cooking modes available. Love the light that you can turn on without opening the doors! Can barely tell when oven is on (so quiet). Heats up quickly and shuts down quickly when you turn off. This is by far the best oven I ever had. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous & Efficient [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Bosch oven is beautiful inside and out. The racks are easy to adjust and the glass window looks fabulous/ while allowing you to check on your food without opening the door. Inside is smooth and the stainless interior sparkles and is easy to clean. I am very pleased with my Bosch purchase!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gamma JC's New Bosch Single Wall Oven [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Due to my builder's specs, I cannot put a full 30" wall oven in my existing older cabinet; a real pain. After several months of research, I chose the Bosch product due to its rating and because only GE seems to have a 29" wall oven. I recycled my 6-year-old GE to Maine and had high hopes for this new oven here. Bosch: It's time to make 29" ovens with finger push settings, not dials. Yes, many older houses still need a slightly smaller wall oven. I have several other observations. 1. I do not like the turn dials. They are super sensitive and if even gently touched, they can turn without always being noticed unless I'm paying close attention. That means they can be left on whatever setting they happen to turn to for a while especially if the lights in the oven are off. Not good. They also are apparently super sensitive to being cleaned insofar as we have had to reset the entire wall oven basement breaker 3 times now having somehow set the little error code off (forgot the actual number) just by wiping sticky fingers off the hand, or so it seems? I also think that the 2 inside lights are not bright enough and placed in such a way that I don't always easily see what is baking without opening the door, a no-no in baking. The oven is also a bit slow in warming up as well. Overall, it’s settings seem accurate, and the times recommended at various settings seem accurate as well I DO like the Convection Oven. The two broil settings are important to check before using one or the other. Food burns fast if not watched like a hawk on both settings if too close to the top. I, too, would love one more rack. Some of my longer pans only fit length wise so I can’t put two baking pans side by side on one rack. As with all ovens these days, however, if we are baking something drippy such as a Pizza it is important to put a pan or piece of aluminum foil under it to catch drips. If there are spills, I try to wipe them off the bottom of the oven asap. I've yet to use the clean oven setting as I'm worried about the intense heat it might generate; something I’ve not heard of in Bosch Ovens, but in many others. All in all, it is a good oven.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from i love cooking again [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to replace my 58 year old mid century thermador oven. I had not been working well and died. This Bocsh is amazing. everything cooks evenly and fast. The convection feature is expecially nice. all the dials and touch features are easy to use.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good oven, but a little noisy [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had this oven for about four months, and it does a fine job cooking and baking. The problem is with the fan system that keeps the oven's electronics cool. The oven takes in air at the bottom and exhausts it through a slot just above the oven door. As the oven gets hotter and hotter, the fan speed gets continuously louder as it forces more air through the vent. After about 10 minutes, the air noise is loud enough to be annoying. But worse, the fan starts to emit a whistling or humming sound that is very annoying. These sounds can be easily heard from 20 feet away. Furthermore, when one uses convection mode, the internal convection fan turns on, and it also emits a noticeable humming sound. I recently heard a Kitchen Aid oven with a similar venting system, and it was significantly quieter, never emitting any whistling sound. The convection fan was also quieter. I had Bosch service come in to check it out, and they told me that this level of noise was normal. Normal or not, I don't like it. You'd think a company that can make the quietest dishwashers around could extend that talent to a quieter oven. Why should my oven be noisier than my dishwasher?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bosch 27" Wall Oven [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced our double (over and under) convection wall oven with a Bosch 27" convection single wall oven. We like very much the mechanical knobs which don't show fingerprints (the "touch panel" LED switches on our prior double oven failed). We like the ease of operation and the stainless steel and the style and overall appearance of the oven front and interior lighting. The only small or minor comment is the amount of time it takes to warm up to the desired temperature.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Safety Issue We are very concerned about the safety of this oven model and am disappointed how Bosch has delt with our concern. This is what happened: The oven was set to 350 and when the temperature as reached the food was placed in it. Shortly after a buzzer sounded, the door locked, the controls were inoperative and E115 appeared on the display. The oven and surrounding cabinet got extremely hot very quickly. The control knobs became so hot they couldn’t be touched. During a typical clean cycle the knobs are normal temperature and there is no noticeable heat in the surrounding cabinet, so we were very concerned. We turned off the breaker in the house panel, the oven cooled very slowly and the door lock didn’t release. A Bosch authorized service man came after a few weeks of waiting and indicated that a relay on the control board probably got stuck that would have kept the oven at the desired temperature. We asked why would this disable the controls ? We then asked what would have happened if we had not turned off the breaker? We did not get a clear answer. He did mention in an off handed way that one shouldn’t leave the house with the oven on. Very lucky we didn’t step out when this occurred. A stuck relay is one thing, but for this to also disable the ‘off’ controls and then allow the oven to get to dangerously high temperatures without an automatic shutdown appears to be a design flaw.
